Life is good with Stella McCartney on your side. London designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby have had an entirely respectable ten-year career designing everything from Levi’s clothes hangers to furniture for the Italian brand Cappellini, but if their Dickensian moniker is suddenly on everyone’s lips this year, the duo owe at least part of that newfound notoriety to Sir Paul’s daughter: After designing tiles for Stella’s store in 2003, last year they hooked up with her husband’s hip new furniture company, Established & Sons, and have produced a string of hits since.
